Multi-award winning restaurant since 1981!

Greenford Tandoori has won huge acclaim from top food critics and judges- including its head chef being crowned National Curry Chef.

Greenford Tandoori's Master Chef Shamim Syed has won several prestigious titles over the last seven years, including International Indian Chef of the year 2002-3, beating an incredible 5,000 entrants worldwide. One of the competition judges, Alex Salmond MP, leader of the Scottish National party, was impressed by Shamim's winning creations he ordered one of his takeaways to be delivered to the House of Parliament for a special function.

Shamim claims the key to his beautiful dishes is his knowledge of fragrant and warm spices from all four corners of India which he delicately blends in meticulous proportions to ensure each dish has its own distinctive flavour and aroma. The expertise can be tasted in his beautiful dishes, which are world away from other Indian cuisine you may have tried. For example, which wowed the judges at the National Curry Chef Completion, is a sizzling, delightfully exotic dish, with meat so tender and juicy you will be begging for more. Similarly, the Gosth Hindustani contains the butter-soft lamb pieces, which are set off by gorgeous garlic and ginger.

The mark of any good chef is the ability and desire to constantly evolve, and this is Shamim's speciality. He explained: "All my dishes are completely unique as I like to be creative and showcase new dishes at the Sunday Buffet to see how customers like them". And of course, we have all the traditional dishes people love alongside more unusual ones because some customers love these and say they can't be bettered.
